Hello La Mode Press Launch Party
Friday, July 6, 2012 – Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton anyone? If you’re an aspirational consumer like I am, you know that these labels don’t come cheap. And yet I love them so (sigh).
Meet: Hello La Mode.
Last week, I had the honor of working with an awesome, fashion e-commerce start-up called Hello La Mode, the first luxury fashion certified resale marketplace where fashionistas can buy and sell designer clothing, accessories, and handbags. Founded by a group of French businessmen, the Hello La Mode site offers womens, mens, and kids product categories and will officially launch in mid-July.
The press launch and preview party was hosted at an event space in the Garment District and guests included magazine editors, bloggers, and taste makers. From the delicious hors d’oeuvres (including pastel colored macaroons!) to the champagne cocktails, lounge music, and sketch artist on premises, ladies and gents were also able to get a personal tour of the site as well as upload their designers wears to the website. One woman brought an entire luggage piece full of Diane Von Furstenberg print dresses and skirts!
I love Hello La Mode because of the convenience, usability, and product guarantee. Shoppers can search for prospective finds via the collections curated by both community members and celebrity tastemakers.
