NOLCHA Fashion Week: Adolfo Sanchez SS2013
Wednesday, December 05, 2012 — Long, flowy gowns were the statement pieces of Adolfo Sanchez’s Spring Summer 2013 collection. Gowns in red, black, and white cascaded down the runway with a trail of material flowing behind the towering models. A white sheer gown with white ruffles, that served to veil the intimates of a woman’s body, was an intriguing combination of sweet and sexy. The sheer white material flowed in an angelic way as the model moved, and the seductive placing of the ruffles created a sexy side. Another gown that almost left nothing to the imagination, and yet just enough, was a black cutout mermaid gown that replaced areas where material could have been with black tulle. This body hugging dress featured a dramatic flare at the button which was spruced up with a black chevron material and black tulle. A black gown made entirely of textures gave the illusion of black seaweed using ruffles and large mesh. This gown was like nothing that had ever been seen before. Adolfo Sanchez knows how to make a gown that leaves you captivated and fascinated. While these designs may not suite everyone’s style, they are certainly something to be admired.
